George of the Jungle

George of the Jungle is a Saturday-morning animated television program originally broadcast on the American TV network ABC between 1967 and 1970. A parody of Tarzan, the series was produced by Jay Ward and Bill Scott. The title character, voiced by Scott, is a dim-witted but big-hearted "ape man", who lives in the jungle and is called upon each episode to save its inhabitants from various threats.
George is supported by his playmate interests Bella and Ursula (attractive identical twin young women with the voices of June Foray), his sapient gorilla friend Ape (Paul Frees), who is more intelligent than George and sounds remarkably like Ronald Colman); and his pet elephant, Shep, who acts more like a lap dog, or, as George calls him, "big peanut-eating doggie".
Each half-hour show consists of three episodes: one of George; one of "Tom Slick", with Scott giving the voice of racecar-driver Tom, and June Foray speaking for his girlfriend Marigold; and "Super Chicken", with Scott as the titular superhero and Frees as his lion sidekick, Fred. The show was distributed by Paramount Domestic Television.

George of the Jungle is a live-action film based on the original cartoon of the same name. This film was produced by Walt Disney Pictures, and originally released to movie theatres in 1997. It starred Brendan Fraser as the eponymous main character.

George of the Jungle 2

George of the Jungle 2 is a direct-to-video sequel to the 1997 Walt Disney Pictures live-action film George of the Jungle. Probably due to its lack of original cast members, this film wasn't successful.
