Shakti

The character Shakti is an India comic book heroine (Raj Comics) who describes herself as a symbol of the empowerment of women. In appearance, she resembles Kali, a Hindu Goddess. In the form of a power-source, Shakti lives inside the body of a woman called Chanda, who has been abandoned by her husband for not giving birth to a boy. Chanda's husband killed all the daughters she gave birth to and tried to kill her as well, but she was saved by the power of Shakti.
The Goddess gave her powers to protect women all over the world. Whenever there is a crime against a woman in any part of the world, Shakti immediately comes to the rescue by using her superpowers - she can fly and is able to melt any metal.
